A big thank you to all my sponsors and supporters. I completed the Great North Run in 2hours 53mins 33 secs. It was a fantastic day and a very uplifting experience. Running with so many people with the same aim of achieving personal goals and raising money for charity gives you such a buzz and a feeling that is difficult to put into words. No words can explain the feeling of crossing that line and achieving my first goal of finishing. How great it was to meet up with my wife Linda just beyond the finish line and celebrate together. I felt a little disappointed that I did not achieve two of my goals e.g. to at least jog/run all the way and finish within 2 hours 30mins. However I achieved something that 12 months previously would be unbelievable, I completed the Great North Run and more importantly together with my sponsors we raised £833 for Cancer Research UK.
A real big thank you to all my sponsors, your support helps to keep me motivated and your contributions are so valuable in helping to fight cancer. Many thanks and best wishes..
